My Own Target Audience

Looking at the research I have done, most music magazines tend to either be mostly read by a male audience or targetted at them so I want to create a magazine that caters for a female audience, but that can still attract the male reader also.
Age: Mostly for the 16-25 year old age group but can also have an open readership
Class: ABC1
Ethnicity: All ethnicities, my magazine is not targetted at a specific ethnicity.

The ideology of my magazine is that indie-style music can be liked by women too and that less well-known artists are important too. Its oppositional to the hegemonic norm for music magazines that tend to proivde content about very well-known mainstream music artists such as Haim, Arctic Monkeys and Florence and The Machine. Therefore my magazine will feature no indie-style bands already recognised widly in the public eye.
